A Memorial to Rev William Anthony 'Bill' Houston
Bro Bill Houston left this world on March 1st, 2018. He didn't die, no, he just began to live! Paul said in Philippians 1:21; for me to live is Christ, but to die is gain. Bro Bill gained heaven eternal that day. Bro Bill believed what he preached, so much so that he lived and died by it, leaving behind an example and a path which we all might follow. He was truly a great man of faith, conviction, and integrity. First known for his ability to sing, it didn't take long for folks to find out that this singer could preach too, and preach he did, even up to his last hours. He took the gospel all across this country with his good wife, Sis Darien, by his side. Loved by so many, he will be sorely missed by his family and all of those that came to know and love him.
The evidence that you have been a good and faithful servant is when the God of all the earth takes time to come to your funeral and make His presence felt by so many. I sincerely believe that Bro Bill would have been so pleased by the way his funeral was conducted. His pastors preached to a full house, close to 400 people in the church and more than 300 listening to the live streaming audio. Please keep Sis Darien and the rest of the family in your thoughts and prayers.
